Round Rock is the part of our service area with the widest age range of backyards. Forest Creek and Stone Oak pools are twenty-five years old and coming due for plaster, tile and equipment. Teravista, Behrens Ranch and Paloma Lake are still filling in with yards that have never had anything in them. We do both, and they are different conversations.
Donna and Ben have been building gunite pools for over thirty years. Round Rock has been in our radius since 2001, back when the suburbs first pushed north, so a fair number of the pools we renovate here are ones we watched go in.

Limestone under Brushy Creek
The Brushy Creek corridor runs shallow limestone, and how shallow varies street to street rather than neighborhood to neighborhood. We check the ground on the first visit and price any rock removal in writing, because it is the single most common thing that turns into a surprise change order with other builders.
Renovation as often as new build
A pool built in the late nineties is now on its second plaster at best. We replaster, retile, replace coping and swap out equipment that was never designed to run efficiently — and we will tell you honestly when a shell has another decade in it and only needs a surface.
Permits and HOA review
Every pool here needs a City of Round Rock building permit, and Teravista, Behrens Ranch and Paloma Lake all run architectural review on top of it. We pull the city permits and prepare the drawings the HOA wants, timed so the two run in parallel instead of end to end.

Most of our gunite pools run $85k–$145k with standard plaster; premium finishes, water features, and larger footprints push toward $180k–$220k. Rock removal along Brushy Creek can add excavation cost, which we itemize. Renovations are quoted line by line.
Usually, yes. Shells built well in the nineties commonly have decades left; what wears out is plaster, tile, coping and equipment. We assess the shell first and quote only what actually needs touching — no bundled packages.
Six to ten weeks from dig to swim for a new build, weather and permits permitting. A full renovation is usually two to four weeks depending on how much of the deck and equipment is coming out.
