Travisso, Crystal Falls, Bryson, Palmera Ridge — the house is two years old, the sod is thin, and there is nothing to work around. That freedom is why Leander pools can be the best-designed ones we do, and why the mistake here is putting a stock shape in the middle of the yard because nothing stopped you.

New-construction yards
A brand-new yard usually means compacted fill from the house build, irrigation and drainage already run, and a builder-grade fence you may not want to keep. We check what is under the sod before quoting, because compacted fill and buried utilities are what turn a simple dig into a slow one.
Where Leander gets steep
Travisso and parts of Crystal Falls drop hard toward the canyon, and those lots want a different pool than a flat Palmera Ridge yard does — engineered retaining, real drainage, and usually a raised edge or negative edge that turns the grade into the reason you build.
Permits and HOA review
City of Leander building and electrical permits on every job, plus architectural review in Travisso, Crystal Falls, Bryson and Palmera Ridge. Newer HOAs tend to be stricter about equipment screening and setback than established ones, so we draw for that from the start.

Not necessarily, but tell us the house is new. Fill placed during construction settles, and we would rather plan the shell and decking around that than plaster over a guess. It is a design question, not a reason to wait a year.
