Two family-run gunite builders, both working the same stretch of Central Texas, and homeowners in Liberty Hill often ask us how the two differ. This page puts the two side by side on the things you can actually check before you sign: who draws the plan, how the shell is built, what is on the service list, and how a quote arrives.
Everything in the Paradise Pools & Spas column comes from their own website, read on October 28, 2026, and every Trinity row comes from Trinity's own pages on the same day. Where their site does not say, the cell says so rather than filling the gap.
At a glance
| What we looked at | Paradise Pools & Spas | Trinity Pool Construction |
|---|---|---|

| How long in business | "Since 1986", designing and building custom pools for homeowners throughout the Austin area | Ben has been in the pool industry since 1987; Trinity started in Southern California in 2001 and opened in Central Texas in 2019 |
| Where they are based | An office in the heart of Liberty Hill | Central Texas, building anywhere within about 75 miles of home base so the same crew stays on the job |
| How the shell is built | Steel and gunite construction, listed under their custom pool construction service | Every pool is gunite, sprayed on site over steel, from a computer-generated design |
| Services listed | Consultation and design, custom pool construction, pool remodeling, pool plastering and resurfacing | Custom pool construction, pool renovations, pool repair, custom add-ons, energy-efficient equipment |
| Build time stated on the site | Custom pool construction "typically takes anywhere from 45 to 90 working days" | 6 to 10 weeks from dig to swim is given as a typical range, weather and permits permitting, with a written schedule before the dig |
| Resurfacing finish named | Pebble Tec is named as their go-to for resurfacing, with other options offered | Replaster in white, quartz or pebble, quoted as the one item that needs doing rather than as a package |
| Financing | Partnered with Lyon Financial and LightStream for pool financing | None in-house; Capital ATX Pool Financing and Lyon Financial are named as lenders you call directly |
| How a quote is given | Free consultations and custom design services, requested through a form, with 3D rendering and approval listed as design steps | One site visit at no cost, then a written itemized quote with no ballpark ranges |
| Hours posted | Not stated on their website | Call or text Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm, with a reply inside one business day |

Where Trinity is the better call
- You deal with the owners, start to finish. Donna and Ben do the walkthrough, draw the plan and answer the phone. The site is explicit that there is no sales team and no handoff to a project manager.
- Gunite only, and nothing from a catalog. Every Trinity pool is sprayed on site from a design drawn for that yard, in freeform, geometric, lap, infinity-edge or tanning-ledge shapes.
- Liberty Hill is core service area, not an outer edge. The Liberty Hill page covers what actually decides a build out here: acreage room for a vanishing edge, septic and well fields mapped before the dig, and whether the permit sits with the city or the county ETJ.
- A renovation is quoted line by line. If the equipment is fine, Trinity says so; if the shell has one problem area and not six, it quotes the one.
Both companies build gunite and both are run by the family whose name is on the work. The table is the part worth reading twice: the shortest build window stated, the finish options named, and who shows up on day one.
Questions people ask
Does Trinity build in Liberty Hill?
Yes. Liberty Hill is one of the cities named in Trinity's service area, and Trinity builds anywhere within about 75 miles of its Central Texas home base so the same crew stays on the job from dig to plaster.
How long does a Trinity pool take to build?
6 to 10 weeks from dig to swim is the typical range for a standard gunite pool, subject to weather and city permits. The written schedule comes with the quote rather than after the dig.
Where do the Paradise Pools & Spas facts on this page come from?
Their own website, read on October 28, 2026. Every claim in their column traces to a page on paradisepools.com, and the fact sheet behind this page records the URL and the date for each one.
